Infosys Co-Founder Says Technology Will Create Jobs, not Kill Them
January 09, 2019
Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy said that new-age technologies like machine learning and artificial intelligence won’t steal jobs but rather create new ones. He said that technology will allow people to move from tedious and mundane jobs to those that require a “human touch”.
A World Economic Forum (WEF) report supports Murthy’s argument. It says that the growing use of machines and technology at workplaces will create 133 million new jobs by 2022 against the 75 million jobs that will be redundant by then.
