India’s Per Capita Income Increased 8.6% in FY18

As per the latest government data, the per capita income in India increased by 8.6% to nearly Rs. 1.13 lakhs during the financial year 2017-18. In the financial year 2016-17 the same stood at Rs. 1.03 lakhs which were 10.3% higher than the previous fiscal year’s figure i.e. Rs. 94,130.

The per capita income, which is also called the average income, is considered as an important factor in assessing a country’s prosperity.
