India to Have 245 mn Workers in Surplus by 2030, Report Says

India is projected to have as many as 245 million workers in excess by 2030 although the majority of developing and developing nations would be short of talent by then. This is based on a study by organizational firm Korn Ferry that said that there will be a shortage of 85.2 million workers by 2030 in around 20 major economies in the world.
The study said that by 2030, India would be the only country to have surplus skilled professionals because of a “vast supply of working age citizens” and government-funded skill development programmes.
