India Needs 10% Annual Growth for 30 yrs to Meet Demand: Amitabh Kant

NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said that India needs to grow at 10% per year for the next 30 years to meet the growing demands of the increasing population. He also cautioned about the scarcity of fossil fuel in the near future, a problem which can be avoided with the adoption of biofuels, he said.

Kant, who was at FICCI’s Circular Economy Symposium-2018 said that the government is giving a big push to e-vehicles to improve resource efficiency and conserve non-renewable resources of energy. He also emphasized on introducing circular economy in the country’s education system.
