IBM Looks to Partner with Govt, Banks for Agriculture Solutions

Tech giant IBM is looking to join hands with government departments and banks to offer its artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solutions for the agriculture sector. It recently launched ‘Watson decision platform for agriculture’ globally to focus on the $2.4 trillion agriculture market.

IBM’s Vice President of Research for India and Singapore, Sriram Raghavan said that the company seeks as many as 10 key partnerships with the government, banks, and insurance companies to expand its reach in the agriculture industry. He said that its partnership with NITI Aayog is also based on AI, and that 10 districts for the initiative have already been identified across the country.
