Healthcare Providers Warn Limited Cooperation in Light of Low-priced NHPS Packages

Concerned about the low rate packages offered by NDA under the National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS), private healthcare providers have stated that they won’t be participating in the scheme any more than they have to.

A letter was recently received by the CEO of Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) Ayushman Bharat which stated that that it would be difficult for the private healthcare providers to offer their services because the rates of Ayushman Bharat Scheme i.e. are “abysmally low”.  It also claimed that the rates were set without any scientific basis.
