HDFC Focusing on Digital Modes of Communication to Settle Disputes

Aiming to settle disputes faster and in a more convenient manner, private sector HDFC Bank has started relying on digital communication channels including WhatsApp and email to send notices, summons etc. to the customers who evade compliance. It has sent around 250 summons through WhatsApp and emails so far.

An official from the bank said it has been observed that the customers may change their residence often but their email addresses and phone numbers stay the same. This is why the bank found these channels to be an effective means of communication.
