HDFC Clocking Rs. 1,000 cr in Digital Loan Sales

Private sector HDFC Bank is currently doing Rs. 1,000 crores in loan sales every month through digital channels. According to a senior official, the number can go up after the bank launches an online loan service against mutual funds.

The official said that credit limits of Rs 10,000 crore on loans against insurance policies and mutual funds have been approved by the lender. He said that the digital loan service will slash the processing time to mere 3 minutes as opposed to today’s up to 6 days.
