GST, Demonetization Caused Loss of 2 Crore Jobs, Says Ajay Upadhyay

All India Congress Committee Spokesperson Ajay Upadhyay who was addressing a press conference recently said that the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) and demonetization cost as many as two crores people their jobs. He said that the BJP-backed measures have hit the unorganized sector the most.
Upadhyay said that as per a recent RTI report, around 24 lakh government jobs are vacant today. So, if the NDA government really wanted to give employment to the people, it would have started recruitment, he added.
