From April onwards, the e-way bills under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime might be integrated with NHAI’s FASTag’s network to monitor movement of goods and check tax evasion. An officers committee in that regard has already been set up by the revenue department to integrate DMIC’s Logistics Data Bank (LDB) services with e-way bill and FASTag system. As of now, Karnataka is looking to implement the system on a pilot basis.
