Government Working to Get Startups on State-Run Online Platform

According to a senior official, the government is working to get startups across the country to sell their products on its own online platform called the Government e-Market (GeM). They said that a Proof of Concept (PoC) is already being worked upon by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and GeM in collaboration.

GeM will allow the startups to capitalize on the government markets as government users will get to use their products on a trial basis and offer feedback. This will help them price their products and services appropriately which is currently a big problem for them.
