Government Wants Eco-Friendly Petrochemical Units, Says Secretary

The union government wants eco-friendly chemicals and petrochemicals units, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Secretary P Raghavendra Rao said recently during a roadshow ahead of the India Chemicals 2018 event. He said that the government will encourage companies that are interested in building eco-friendly units. He added that the contribution of this sector to the country’s manufacturing sector could reach 25% in 10 years from the current 10%.
