Global Drone Market: India Takes Step in the Right Direction by Formulating Policy
January 10, 2019
Although the commercial use of drones in a majority of the top economies can’t seem to get through the red tape, India has clearly taken a step in the right direction by rolling out a policy for the same. This can give it a head start in the global drone market which is projected to grow into a 100 billion USD industry by 2023.
India’s new policy called Drone Regulation 1.0 will authorize the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPAs) or drones for commercial purposes. It was compiled by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and shall be enhanced further this year.
