Future of Aadhaar Pay Bleak

Aadhaar Pay, which was created by the government to push digital payments in India, may not reach its full potential. Experts say it’s highly likely that it will be limited to rural areas only where the people receive funds from social welfare schemes and have existing Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. This has to do with the recent verdict of Supreme Court on the validity of Aadhaar according to which the people don’t have to link their bank accounts with their Aadhaar numbers and are free to choose other popular payment methods such as debit and credit cards.
