Fossil Fuel Cut-down: India Sets Target of 15% Electric Vehicles by 2023

Thinking along the lines of other countries that are concerned about climate change, India aims to limit its dependence on fossil fuels. Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was present at a conference organized by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers in New Delhi said that the government plans to achieve a target of 15% electric vehicles on the road in five years.

Last year, India sold nearly 2,000 electric vehicles (EVs) around the country. By 2030, they are expected to make for 7% of the total sales.
