FASTags to be Soon Available at Petrol Pumps

In a bid to smoothen the flow of traffic across national highways, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is working on partnering with oil marketing companies which may sell FASTags through their petrol pumps in the country.
At present, only around 15% to 25% of traffic across 462 toll plazas uses FASTags. However, NHAI believes that if these devices are made more accessible to the people, the number of users will increase quickly. Thus, it’s betting on selling these from the petrol pumps around the country.
