Farmers March to Mumbai for Loan Waiver, Land Rights

Thousands of farmers who are demanding the transfer of forest rights to tribals and compensation for droughts have started a 2-day march from Thane to Mumbai. A protest similar to this was initiated from Nashik back in March this year.

The farmers are demanding a hike in the Minimum Support Price (MSP), implementation of the Swaminathan Committee Report which will ensure that they have access to resources like water and land, and proper implementation of loan waiver.
