Economic Diplomacy Attracted $209 bn Worth of Investments, Says Sushma Swaraj

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who was addressing her annual press conference this Monday said that that the economic diplomacy of her ministry helped attract $209.83 billion worth of investment for several development programs in India.

Swaraj said that since May 2014, India has received funds worth $209.83 billion for various flagship programmes like Skill India, Digital India, Clean India, Smart Cities, etc. She said that her ministry has also created two new divisions “Department of States” and “Department of Economic Diplomacy” and merged them together.
