Delhi government has proposed that the prices of medicines and medical products should be capped, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said.

In a draft advisory, the state government proposed that the medicine prices should be capped at 150% of the purchase price or it can be MRP, whichever is lower.

If the proposal is actually implemented, it could be a big relief for the people who take healthcare services from private hospitals which are infamous for handing out inflated bills.
