Defaults on Loan Against Properties, Credit Cards Have Increased: CIBIL

According to the data shared by India’s top credit rating agency CIBIL, delinquency rates have increased considerably today in select consumer credit segments including Loan Against Properties (LAP), credit cards, and home loans. The rates for these have increased by 73 bps to 3.3%, 28 bps to 1.78%, and 22 bps to 1.73% respectively on a year-over-year basis.

Interestingly, LAP has increased by 33% since last year in the lending market and makes for around 1.6 million accounts.
