Cyclone-Hit Andhra Seeks ₹12 bn Relief from Centre

Considering the massive damage caused by cyclone Titli in Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh, the state government has asked the Centre to provide monetary relief of ₹12 billion for restorative measures. 

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he said that cyclone Titli has disrupted the normal life in the affected regions. He said that the cost of damaged infrastructure and crops were to the tune of ₹28 billion.
