There is a need for principles that can be used to work with artificial intelligence (AI) with privacy being a human right, said Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella.

Nadella, who was attending the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting said that we have to start from the basic principle that it’s the user who owns their data. Pointing to the facial recognition technology he said that he can give 10 good uses for the same and 10 that could be worrisome. He said in light of issues like this, Microsoft is working on defining principles that can ensure fair use of technology, although a regulation (like GDPR) must also be introduced globally.
