Complaints Stack up as Insurance Ombudsman Offices Operate Headless

Insurance ombudsman offices in around 17 regions across India are currently open and operational without the supervision of any head member as these positions have been vacation for many months now. Even though several attempts have been made so far, no results have been achieved.
According to sources, as many as 7,000 cases are pending with these ombudsman offices which are in locations including Chennai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Pune, etc. and if the top positions aren’t filed soon, the number can increase even more.
