Chinese News Agency Unveils First AI News Presenter

China-based news agency Xinhua recently unveiled its first female artificial intelligence (AI)-powered news presenter which is seen as a new threat to the human journalists.
The agency shared a short video in which the AI news anchor Xin Xiaomeng is seen in a pink dress and short hair talking to the viewers in human-like natural voice along with appropriate facial expressions.
Xinhua had partnered with Chinese search engine company Sogou to create Xin Xiaomeng. She has joined the other two male AI anchors that are already working with the agency.
