CBI to Send Details of Banking Sector Flaws to RBI, Centre

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will soon send a detailed report to the government as well as the central bank RBI on the various flaws and anomalies that it identified in the Indian banking sector.
The flaws were noticed by the CBI during its investigation of the Rs. 13,600 crores scam of Nirav Modi involving the Punjab National Bank.
Some of the points that the report will cover include the lapses in the banks’ management system regarding the RBI guidelines, improper verification of documents required for loan approvals, etc.
