Bank Strike Disrupts Operations Across India

This Wednesday, operations at various public sector banks were affected due to a large-scale strike organized by various bank unions against the proposed merger of Bank of Baroda, Dena Bank, and Vijaya Bank.

The United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) which has 9 top unions under it including All India Bank Employees’ Association, All India Bank Officers Confederation (AIBOC), etc. called the strike which is the second in a week. Last Friday, another union also observed a strike against the same merger.
