Bank Deposits Grow at 6.66%, Credit at 10.32%: RBI Data

As per the latest data from the central bank RBI, banks’ deposits increased to Rs. 1,14,74,989 crores in March 2018 from Rs. 1,07,57,656 crores recorded in March 2017 thus showing a 6.66% growth. Similarly, their credit grew from Rs. 78,41,466 crores last year to Rs. 86,50,714 crores this year at a rate of 10.32%.
Talking about loans, the growth observed is 11.13% on a year over year basis. Last year, the loan book stood at Rs. 75,38,202 crores, and this year it rose to Rs. 83,77,444 crores.
