Auto Companies Turn to IITs to Fulfill their Electric Vehicles Dreams

Top automobile companies are seeking help from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to materialize their plans for electric vehicles (EV). The institutes on their end are also launching new courses that are focused on EVs. 

Due to the popular demand in the auto industry, IIT Delhi is looking to launch a master’s degree programme on automobiles and EVs, and IIT Madras is researching on battery management systems. Similarly, Tata Motors has inked pacts with premium institutes including IIT Varanasi (BHU), IIT Bombay, BITS Pilani, College of Engineering Pune, etc.
