47 Lakh Jobs Created in 10 Months: EPFO Payroll Data

The payroll data released by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) for September-June suggests that as many as 47 lakh jobs were created during the period. It says that around 39.20 lakh new members were enrolled in its various social welfare schemes that offer pension, insurance, provident fund, etc. between September and May. In June, it had registered the highest number of members in the past 10 months at 7,93,308.
