4 Million New Jobs Created in 8 Months: Report

According to a report issued by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), as many as 41 lakh new jobs were created during September 2017 and April 2018 with each month adding nearly 6.85 lakh new jobs to the pool.
On the basis of details covering the subscribers of Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESIC), EPFO, and National Pension Scheme (NPS), CSO said that approximately 41,26,138 new payrolls were created during Sep-Apr. Based on this data, April recorded the highest number of new payrolls created in the 8-month period.
