37 Individuals Applied for RBI Deputy Governor Post So Far

According to sources, the finance ministry has received 37 applications for the RBI Deputy Governor position which has been vacant since July 21, 2017, when S S Mundra completed his term. In addition to that, the shortlisting of these have already been done.
The sources also said that the interviews will be conducted soon by the Financial Sector Regulatory Appointments Search Committee (FSRASC) under the supervision of the Cabinet Secretary.
The applications were received from top officials of public and private sector banks, as well as bureaucrats.
