₹88,500 cr in Power Plant, EV Incentives on The Table to Control Pollution

In a bid to bring down pollution levels across the country, the government is considering offering incentives worth ₹88,500 crores to incentivize power plants and electric vehicles (EV) infrastructure. The main aim is to decrease the sulfur emissions from power plants and build EV infrastructure in 70 cities in the next 5 years i.e. by 2025, a government statement said.
The association of power producers which comprises Adani Power, Reliance Power, etc. has been nudging the government to roll out incentives for the past two years. However, they may finally see their requests getting fulfilled soon.
