₹80 bn Dairy Processing and Infra Development Fund Rolled Out by NABARD

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has set up a Dairy Processing and Infrastructure and Development Fund (DIDF) worth ₹80 billion. It will be invested in various projects which include Ropar Milk Union (Ropar), Karnataka Milk Union (Channarayapatna), Karnataka Milk Federation (Ramnagar), Kolar-Chikhballarpur Milk Union (Kolar), Dakshina Kannada Milk Union (Udupi), and Mysore Milk Union (Mysore). 

The lender said that the fund will be able to attract an investment up to ₹100 billion in the dairy sector by FY 2019-20. Previously, it had funded 15 projects with DIDF using a corpus of ₹8.44 billion.
