The course structure of online MBA programs may vary from the regular programs, but overall, they are indistinguishable. This is because these programs are designed to teach you all the things you would learn in a traditional classroom setting.
Online MBA programs are also more flexible than traditional programs. You are not forced to spend a certain portion of your day in classrooms and you can set your own studying hours. So, if you are raising a family or have a full-time job already, then an online program can be a good option.
Other than that, the online programs are way cheaper than the regular programs that can easily cost 10 lakh to 30 lakhs INR. You can enroll in the MBA program offered by IGNOU and Amity University at only 31,500 INR and 36,000 INR respectively.
The Drawbacks
The impression you get in real classrooms is way deeper and nurturing than remote-learning programs. Studying from the comfort of your home can rob you of opportunities to learn from real-life experiences. Plus, online MBA programs are generally regarded with less value than regular MBA programs. So, you may not get as good opportunities as with the regular MBA programs.
