How to Know Your Customers Better
November 12, 2018
The success of every business depends on how well it understands its customers. After all, without customers, there is no business.
If you feel the urge to get to know your customers better, then you have come to the right place. The following are some of the things that you can do to succeed in that endeavor:
1. Use Social Media
Social media is free but also very powerful. There are all kinds of social media listening tools that can tell you all you need to know about your customers. For instance, Mention allows you to monitor your social media activities in a highly personal manner as every time someone mentions the name of your business online, the program records it for you to review. So at the end of the day, you can go through your account to see what are some of the things that your customers or leads have said about you.
2. Conduct Surveys
Conducting a small survey every once in a while can go a long way in learning about the changing needs of your customers. By asking the right questions, you can understand how your customers are feeling about your products, what they are expecting from you in the future, and how they are reacting to the changes in your products (if there are any).
3. Organizing Local Events
Sometimes, you would want to interact with your customers in person. That’s when you can consider organizing fun or educational events in different cities. This can benefit you in two ways: you can get to know your customers better, and you can also spread brand awareness in the community easily.
4. Ask for Reviews
If you sell products/services online, then you can set up a feature that allows your customers to post reviews about their experiences. You can also create business pages on social media platforms and Google where customers can rate your business.
