FPI Outflows Surge to ₹6,000 cr in January

Foreign portfolio investors drew nearly ₹6,000 crores from the Indian stock markets in January. Experts believe that this trend may continue for many upcoming months now.

Geojit Financial Services Ltd. Head of Research Vinod Nair said that the investors are taking a cautious approach in light of the upcoming general elections and the global market forces. Other contributing factors include the volatility of the Indian currency and the crude oil prices.
