Extreme Weather, Cyberattacks Top Threats for India Inc.

The biggest threats to Indian firms are data thefts, large-scale cyberattacks, and extreme weather, a joint study by risk management body RIMS and insurance broking giant Marsh said. It said that with India Inc. relying on data and digitization more than ever, the risk of cyberattacks has also increased greatly. 

The report which took inputs from key stakeholders across 19 industries said that 88% of respondents believe cyberattacks is the biggest risk today. The second biggest risk has been identified as data theft or fraud (85%), followed by volatile weather (84%).
