Early 5G Rollout Necessary, Govt Must Support: Bharti Airtel

This Tuesday, Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal said that the government needs to ensure the early rollout of the 5G connectivity in the country by supporting the telecom companies in the pricing of the spectrum and reducing the appropriate levies.
Mittal said that the price for 5G is set quite high by Trai as the telecom operators will need over 100 MHz. He said that the equipment deployed by Airtel is 5G-ready and the entire telecom industry is building the infrastructure for 5G connectivity. The government just needs to extend support, he said.
