12 Lakh People Availed Free Treatment Under Ayushman Bharat: CEO

Ayushman Bharat CEO Dr. Indu Bhushan said that since the launch of the national healthcare scheme which was in September last year, around 12 lakh beneficiaries have availed free treatments. He said over two crore beneficiary e-cards have been issued already and there are at least 15,000 hospitals empaneled under the scheme. He also said that the health sector has become a “political commitment” for the first time in the country since Independence.
